Eye Spy Club was established in 1998. It was recognised that there was a need for an out of school club in the Guiseley area of Leeds.
The needs of the parents and the children were, and still are, at centre of the provision.
The club is growing steadily and has now 15 staff. We pride ourselves on having a close and friendly team.
The club is owned and run by Jane Jackson who lives in Guiseley. Jane's children and all her staffs children have attended or do attend the local schools. It is the connection with the community and the attitude of the club to this that has proven a great success.
The club's motto is " We Care, They Play " .
The children are encouraged to attend other activities and we do all we can to help them achieve their varied interests. We take and collect from football, swimming, orchestra, street dance, basketball and others. The list of activities continues to grow. These activities are held at the local Schools, Sport Centres and Gym. Again we have close links to these facilities and it has proved to be beneficial to all parties.
The staff are all either qualified or in training. Jane has NVQ4 and other staff have NNEB, NVQ2/Cache and Special Needs level 3.
We are Ofsted registered.
We have also been running a Breakfast Club for a number of years and has been a tremendous success. Playschemes are run to cover all holidays with the exceptions of Bank holidays, 2 weeks of the summer holidays and Christmas.
Eye Spy Club supports as many charities as possible with particular emphasis on children's charities that can involve the children at the club.
We feel that the success has been as a result of close links with parents, schools and the local community.
